Sticky Situation
Fall 2006
The installation, Sticky
Situation, is a commentary on today’s
crazy and hectic reality of living by the “endless
schedule,” and how this way of living suffocates our daily
lives. While the layers of post-it notes suggest chaos and
an overwhelming sense of frenzy and stress, the build-up of
papers in the corner evoke a sense of lost potential and
waste. This piece both illustrates our wasting of time, and
the wasting away of ourselves due to this debilitating way
of life.
On a personal level, the installation is a two-week glimpse
into my own trap; my own endless schedule – I, too, am
guilty of wasting.
